MyCalStateLA ID

Cal State LA provides students, faculty, and staff a variety of computer resources and online services. A MyCalStateLA ID account is required to access most of these services. You can activate and manage your account online through the MyCalStateLA ID self-service website.

MyCalStateLA Portal

The MyCalStateLA Portal provides numerous campus resources in one central location, delivered to you based on your role at the University. It also provides single sign-on access to GET, Office 365 email, Canvas, LinkedIn Learning, and more.

Office 365 Email

Office 365 is a cloud-based email service hosted by Microsoft. The Outlook Web App (OWA) lets you access your Cal State LA email, calendar, contacts, and tasks through a web browser. You can also use a desktop email client or a mobile device to access your Office 365 email.


The GET system provides online access to the student administration system, which manages admissions, enrollment, class scheduling, and more.


The HRM system provides online access to the human resources management system, which manages hiring, recruitment, time keeping, payroll, benefits, and more.


Canvas is a course management system that supports online learning and teaching. It allows professors to post grades, information, and assignments online.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that combines industry-leading content from Lynda.com with personalized course recommendations and a more intuitive learning experience.

Software for Personal Computers

Through CSU systemwide and/or Cal State LA site license agreements with various software companies, the university provides free or discounted software to eligible students, faculty, and staff for use on their personal devices such as laptops or home computers.


Cal State LA students, faculty, and staff have access to MyTools which provides anytime, anywhere access to frequently-used software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe CC. You can run the software on a variety of devices with an internet connection.


Zoom is a video and web conferencing platform that is available to Cal State LA students, faculty, and staff. It allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between up to 200 participants. You can use Zoom to host your own meeting or join other meetings from any computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.


ServiceNow is an online ticketing system used by Information Technology Services (ITS) to provide customer support. Cal State LA students, faculty, and staff can use ServiceNow to submit an IT support ticket or track progress on an open ticket.
