Cal State LA recognized with AASCU award for excellence and innovation

Cal State LA has been selected as a recipient of an American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ Excellence and Innovation Award for its Prison Graduation Initiative, the first in-person bachelor’s degree completion program for incarcerated students in California.

Morgan Sjoerdsma became Cal State LA’s first three-time Academic All-American on Tuesday when she was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women’s At Large first team.

Cal State LA receives grant to create program to support AANHPI students

Cal State LA has received a $370,000 state grant to develop a new program focused on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) student achievement efforts.

A Message of Profound Gratitude

Commencement 2024 is forever etched in the hearts and minds of tens of thousands. Six ceremonies held over two days at the Los Angeles Convention Center radiated with a profound glow unlike any other. Of the nearly 7,000 students claiming their degrees, 5,700 walked, strut, and danced across the stage cheered on by friends and loved ones.
