The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities selected Cal State LA as an anchor institution as part of a new effort to uplift and transform the economies and social well-being of communities across the nation.

An initiative to promote a thriving bioscience ecosystem in the heart of Los Angeles.
Developed with the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Civic U trains community members to more effectively advocate for their neighborhoods.
