BSME Program Educational Objectives
The educational objectives of the Mechanical Engineering Program at California State University, Los Angeles, are to produce graduates who, within three to five years of graduation, are able to:
- Be employed in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Pursue advanced education in engineering or other professional fields
- Conduct themselves in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner

The educational objectives of the Mechanical Engineering Master’s Program at California State University, Los Angeles, are to produce graduates who are able to:

- Pursue a doctoral degree
- Conduct themselves in an ethical, responsible, and professional manner
