ECST advising appointments are currently not face-to-face. Advisors are available thru video conference (Zoom), phone call, or email. Check the Advising Center Appointment Schedule section below for more information and current appointment dates and times.

Email Advising

In order to assist students as quickly as possible with advising, recommended courses will be emailed to you by your advisor in preparation for registration. The objective of email advising is to start the communication exchange with students and not to replace an advising appointment. Students are encouraged to review the recommended courses and be prepared to talk to their advisor about concerns and/or questions during a drop-in or scheduled appointment.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS WORKSHOPS

The College of ECST's Academic Success Workshop is designed for ECST students on academic probation or disqualification. We understand there can be many challenges that may impact a student's ability to succeed in their academic coursework. Our goal is to help you identify these specific challenges and develop a plan of action for success. Take action, and make sure to attend at least one of the Academic Success Workshops after meeting with your advisor (ESSC or department advisor) concerning your classes.

Graduate students receive advising services through their major department. Updates or changes regarding your major's concentration and electives can be made only with the approval of the graduate advisor. All graduate students are required to see the Chair of the Department for further information.
