In the Fall of 2015, CSULA underwent a quarter-to-semester (Q2S) conversion. Some lower-division GEs were integrated into the curriculum, and all upper-division GEs are now satisfied within the Civil Engineering major.

In the Fall of 2021, CSULA added a new lower-division general elective, Block F Ethnic Studies. The updated FAQ includes this requirement and highlights what incoming students (freshman and transfer) must take moving forward.
