Cal State LA’s Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) aims to provide Cal State LA students with hands-on and collaboration-based engineering projects and events.   • Earthquake Engineering Research Institute

The objective of the EERI CSULA Student Chapter is to encourage and inform students and the community about reducing earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering, by improving understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economic, political and cultural environment, and by advocating comprehensive and realistic measure for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes. 
The purpose of the EERI CSULA Student Chapter shall be the dissemination of knowledge of the theory and practice of all phases of earthquake engineering and other related fields as well as the furtherance of student professional development.

SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women.
SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and receive recognition and credit for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.
The Society of Women Engineers’ Mission is to stimulate women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity.

  • National Society of Black Engineers

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1975. It supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology. 
Our mission is "To increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community."
NSBE offers its members leadership training, professional development activities, mentoring, career placement services, community service opportunities, and more.
