Ron Roberts, Jr. ('91)
Ron Roberts, Jr. is a Recruitment & Public Relations Specialist for Griffith Company, which specializes in heavy civil construction projects throughout Southern California. In this role, Ronis is responsible primarily for the Company’s experienced hire and college recruitment efforts which include management of its learning-intensive Summer Internship Program. Ron also leads Griffith Company’s community service initiative, oversees select marketing projects, and plays a critical role in the Company’s employee engagement activities. Throughout his career journey, Ron has worked in several fields such as career services (University of Southern California; L.A. County Office of Education), corporate recruiting and diversity (Ernst & Young; RSM; Wells Fargo; Union Bank; Griffith Company), and K-12 educational initiatives (Families In Schools). Outside of his day job, Ron immerses himself in projects centered around his passion for guiding high school and college students to very satisfying college experiences and career options. These activities have included one-on-one career advising, creation of career and college readiness content, and presentations to youth-serving organizations, churches, and college student groups. Ron has also worked with his employer contacts to facilitate internship and job opportunities for students. Ron resides in the Los Angeles area with his very supportive wife, Kelly, and continually strives to inspire students in his work to elevate their career preparedness.
