Jessica Alvarenga ('09, '12)

Jessica Alvarenga began her career at Northrop Grumman as a System Engineer supporting the Navigation and Positioning System (NAPS) division in Woodland Hills in 2017. She has served in various Agile System and Software development roles from Development Team Member to Product Owner for DO-178C/DO-331 airworthiness certification of a strap-down position, navigation and timing solution system used in manned and autonomous aviation platforms. She has also supported Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) for requirements verification, validation, integration, and test of a gimbaled navigation and inertial measurement system. Recently, Jessica was selected for the Systems Engineering Associates (SEA) rotational program class of 2023, a professional and technical leadership development program at Northrop Grumman consisting of four rotations over a period of 2 years. Her current rotation is in RF design, modeling, simulation, and analysis. Jessica also serves in various roles in the Adelante Employee Resource Group (ERG).

Jessica received her Bachelor and Master of Science from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Control Systems, Communications and Signals. She performed research in a NASA-sponsored SPACE University Research Center at CSULA and post-grad research in the area of Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) flight control.
