According to new regulations set forth by the CA Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC) students who receive a degree in English will meet the subject matter competence requirement for credentialing under the recently approved bill (AB 130). This means students with a BA in English do not have to apply for a CSET waiver to apply for the Credential.
