The Master of Science program in Electrical Engineering is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills within Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as opportunities to expand their proficiency to new areas in the field.
Who Should Apply
Anyone with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field with overall GPA of 2.75 may apply. Prerequisite courses may be required for students with an unrelated degree or lower GPA.

Sustainable Energy and Smart Power Systems
Develop renewable energy sources and design smart power grids with high efficiency, stability, and reliability

Intelligent Medical Devices and Computing
Design artificially intelligent systems for automated medical therapeutics and computational models for analyzing human-device interactions.

Ubiquitous Sensing and Computing
Develop ubiquitous computing systems using new sensor technologies, local and global (Internet) networks, hardware interfaces, and embedded computers.

Wireless and Quantum Communications and Signal Processing
Design 5G/6G networks with MIMO antenna technologies, next-generation wireless communication protocols, and signal processing algorithms.

Autonomous Robotics and Systems
Design components and systems of intelligent machines capable of performing tasks autonomously and integrating engineering disciplines to design complex systems.

RESEARCH PATH
With the approval of an ECE advisor, choose 24 units of 4000/5000 level courses as well as 6 units of thesis research credits.
COMPREHENSIVE EXAM PATH
With the approval of an ECE advisor, choose 30 units of 4000/5000 level courses and take the comprehensive exam in two areas.
