Spaces and Initiatives for Student Belonging at Cal State LA

The Gender & Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) at Cal State LA is dedicated to creating safe and respectful learning spaces, catering specifically to the empowerment of Womyn, Men, and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning/Queer (LGBTQ) community. The GSRC prides itself in challenging societal norms that have been used historically to oppress and marginalize, while raising awareness on contemporary issues we face.  The Center is located on the second floor of the University Student Union, inside the Cross-Cultural Centers. It is open and available to all.

The Cross-Cultural Centers (CCC) is comprised of the following centers: Asian Pacific Islander Student Resource Center; The Chicana/o Latina/o Student Resource Center; The Pan African Student Resource Center; and the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center.  The CCC is located on the second floor of the University Student Union, and offer a comfortable and vibrant space where students gather to study and create community, as well as refrigerators and microwaves to store and heat food.
