Summer Session 2024: Tuition, Fees & Payments

For many students, Summer Session 2024 features more affordable costs. For example, Cal State LA undergraduate students who take at least six units in Summer Session 2024 will pay less than they would to take six units in the fall or spring semesters.

Note: Summer Session courses for the Doctorate of Education and Doctorate of Audiology programs will maintain the same state tuition and fee rates as scheduled during the regular academic year.

Non-resident Tuition fee: $396 per unit

In addition to basic tuition and fees, non-resident Cal State LA students must pay $396 per unit. The fee applies to all non-residents of California including international students on an F-1 or J-1 Visa.

Professional Program fee for Business and Economics: $270 per unit

The Professional Program fee is paid on a per unit basis, in addition to basic tuition and fees for the following current graduate business programs:

  • Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
  • Master of Science (M.S.) program in Accountancy
  • Master of Science (M.S.) program in Business Administration
  • Master of Science (M.S.) program in Health Care Management
  • Master of Science (M.S.) program in Information Systems

Payments

Important: Make sure to make your payment prior to the payment due date. (See Important Dates.) If you do not make your payment by the payment due date, you will be disenrolled from your course.

Continuing Cal State LA Student Payments:

Online Payments: We highly recommend students pay online. There is no convenience fee for bank account/electronic check payments. A 2.65% convenience fee applies for credit card and debit card transactions.

Tuition and fees can be paid online via Transact. Please select Transact Payments from the Quick Launch menu on your MyCalStateLA portal. Once logged in, select "Make a Payment," then "Summer Session 2023." After selecting your amount from the menu, or typing in your amount if you are making a partial payment, "Add" to payment and complete the transaction.

Check or Cash Payments

If your only option is to pay by check or cash, please visit us or mail your check payable to the address below. Please include your name and CIN on your check.
