CONTINUITY was developed by the Cape Cod Theatre Project.

CONTINUITY was produced in a developmental stage production by Goodman Theatre, Chicago

Parise Zeleny (Eve/Nicole) is a second-year MFA in Television, Film and Theatre/Acting Option at Cal State LA. She graduated with a BA from Sarah Lawrence College (SLC) in May of 2024, where she studied primarily theatre, film, politics, and dance. Recent favorite roles include Woman in Not So Silent Auction (John Lion New Plays Festival at Cal State LA), Mariah/Gardener in Resa Fantastiskt Mystisk (Cal State LA), Daughter in The Trail to Oregon!(SLC), Jekyll and Hyde in Jekyll and Hyde (British American Drama Academy) and Robin in Horse Girls (SLC). Sunny Hill (Dr. Anna Gerber/Lily) is a 4th year student at Cal State LA and is studying to get her Bachelor’s degree in Theater. She aspires to be a television actress and has participated in multiple plays and films at this school. She is excited to be working on Continuity and can’t wait for endeavors outside of Cal State LA. 

Matthew Dominguez

Matthew Dominguez

Matthew Dominguez (Jake/George) is a third-year Cal State LA student majoring in Television, Film, and Media Studies. After his year and a half hiatus, Matthew returns to act in his fourth production with the Theater Department. He is thrilled to be back on stage and grateful for the opportunity to rediscover his love of performance. Offstage, he can be found watching anime, eating sweets, or hanging out with friends. He believes he is an encyclopedia of internet memes and references. And as always, he would like to thank his family for their continued support and his friends for tolerating his constant meme references.

Eric Warwick (David Caxton) is an actor originally from Vermont. He is thrilled to be in his first production at CSULA and has had a blast getting to work with everyone.  Outside of Cal State, you can catch him at The Actors Gang in Culver City or doing Improv at Westside Comedy Theater. 

Ann Li

Ann Li

Ann Li (Maria) is an LA-based actor and a second-year MFA student in Television, Film, and Theatre at Cal State LA. Born and raised in China, she took up acting, singing and dancing at an early age. She took a break in middle school to focus on academia and got her BA in international journalism and English. After working professionally in journalism and customer relations for several years, she is thrilled to make a comeback in acting and performing arts where she gets to explore the endless possibilities of her artistic identity as a film and stage actor. Some of her previous roles include: Maria in God Given Talent - John Lion New Play Festival, Sloane & Mr. Wang in Say Hi to Your Daddy – MFA short film by NYFA, and Anna Li in Happy Birthday – MFA short film by ArtCenter College of Design. This is her second production at Cal State LA and she wants to thank all her family, friends and her amazing MFA cohort for their unwavering love and support.

Ricky Patrick (Larry) is an MFA student in the Content Creation track of Cal State LA's Television, Theatre, and Film program. This is Ricky's third production with Cal State LA, having previously performed as The Milkman/Dydee Delivery Man/Window Repairman in This Land, and Wang the Water Seller in The Good Person of Szechwan. In addition to acting, Ricky is an accomplished filmmaker, painter, and multi-instrumentalist. They would like to thank their wife Jennifer and children Skylar, Julian, and Westley for always supporting them.

Hunter Myers (The PA) is in his final semester at Cal State LA. This is his third and final show in the department. He is excited to take what he’s learned here and go out into the professional world.

Crystal Leal

Crystal Leal (The First AD) is a junior here at Cal State LA, majoring in theatre with an option in performance. This is Crystal's second production at Cal State LA, and she is very excited to work with such a talented cast and crew. Some of her past roles include Sandrine from Almost Maine, Emily Webb in Our Town, and Cannibal Queen in Airness. Crystal is excited to continue developing her craft and continue new experiences on stage. She’d like to thank her boyfriend, family, and friends for always supporting her ambitions.

Ethan Rea (Sound Guy) is a senior at Cal State La, majoring in TV, Film, & Media Studies. This is Ethan’s first production with Cal State La. Ethan always wanted to act since high school but when entering college, he wanted to learn more about filmmaking to see if there was another path for him. Last year, Ethan got back into acting and now sees it as his dream to pursue his career while still working side gigs on short films or commercials as a production assistant. 

Julia Belle Albano

Julia Belle Albano

Julia Belle Albano (Camera Op) is a junior at Cal State L.A. majoring in Television, Film, and Media Studies in the production track. This is her second production with the university, having been in the Brecht play as the Old Woman and Nephew in The Good Person of Setzuan her second semester of sophomore year. While having a passion for film, specifically for directing, set design, and lighting – acting is also something she enjoys and has fallen deeply in love with, seeking to be in more things big and small. Julia would like to thank her family, especially her mother, Cecilia and older brother Ernest for being her inspirations to keep pushing to achieve her dreams, her close circle of friends for always encouraging her to take once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, and her boyfriend, Nicolas Carbajal for supporting her through this journey.

Rica Anonas

Rica Anonas (Director, she/her) is a second year MFA Candidate in Television, Film, and Theatre at Cal State LA (acting track), and she is so excited to be making her directorial debut. Some of her previous roles include: Tita in Mojada: A Medea in Los Angeles(Cal State LA), Dr. Violet Garcia in Fourth Planet (Fullerton College) and Irina in As We Know Them (The Larking House), and is currently in a touring production of Tam Tran Goes to Washington with the East West Players: Theatre For Youth Program. She is also an intimacy & violence choreographer and most recently worked on Frankenstein at Citrus College, Rough Magic at Long Beach City College, and Romeo & Juliet at Fullerton College. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love & support, as well as Randee Trabitz and the Cal State LA TAD faculty for the opportunity to direct this show.

Keith Mitchell

Keith Mitchell (Scenic Designer) is happy to be back at Cal State LA again, with his 4th show here, having designed Airness, Loop Group and Angels in America. He designs in the sphere of online social media content, TV commercials, live theatre and events, and museum installations. He also makes weird puppets. Recent projects include promotional social media content for Netflix's Wednesday S2, Ginny and Georgia, Nobody Wants This, Hello Kitty, and Monsters S3,. Events: Disney Jr., NBC’s Milan Winter Olympics ’25WEHO’s Halloween Carnivals. Theatre: Pascal and Julien with 24th Street Theatre. His music video Vitebsk, for Mostly Kosher, won an LA Music Video Award for Best Art Director.

Chance Vano (Lighting Designer) is a 4th year Cal State LA TAD major, Design and Production Option making his Cal State LA Lighting Design debut. Transfer from Sierra College, Rocklin, CA. Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer, and Stage Manager. Filmmaker and Producing Multi-Instrumentalist. Upholding the ritual of theatre as a vehicle for joy, cultural celebration, and catharsis. Jessica Hansen

Jessica Champagne Hansen (Costume Designer) is a Los Angeles based costume designer and technician, with experience in theater, dance, film, television, commercials, theme park, and corporate clients. She has worked in costume design and construction for Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Tide, Girl Scouts of America, Kaiser Permanente Educational Theater, Garry Marshall Theatre, The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, The Troubadour Theater Company, The Actors Co-op, The Lyric Theatre, South Coast Repertory, The Met Theater, Greenway Court Theater, San Juan Capistrano Shakespeare Festival, Stonebound Productions, and Poptent Media, among others. Her costume designs for The Root Beer Bandits and Miracle on 34th Street were nominated for Ovation Awards. Jessica is a member of IATSE local 829, in Costume Design. She received an MFA in Costume Design from University of California, Irvine and a BFA in Costume Design & Technology from Emerson College. Jessica is a published co-author of Navigating a Career in Technical Entertainment with Camille Schenkkan, and her work has been featured in numerous theater journals, books, and exhibits. She is an honored recipient of the Herbert D. Greggs Merit Award. Jessica is proud to be the head faculty of the costume program at East Los Angeles College in the Theatre Arts Department.

Martin Carrillo

Martín Carrillo (Sound designer) designed Pig Iron Theater Company’s seminal original works Cafeteria andTragedy of Joan of Arc (1998 cover of American Theatre) before moving to Los Angeles to pursue composing and design for larger stages. He went on to Design Festival of the Lion King at Hong Kong Disneyland (2005). LA theatrical credits: Eric Whitacre’s Paradise Lost (Ovation Award 2007). Baby It’s You (NAACP Award 2010), Gifts of the Spirit (Broad Museum 2019),. He designs the Broad Museum’s Happenings Series 2016-Present featuring concert systems for Terrence Martin, Cory Henry, Quincy Jones, Perfume Genius, Kim Gordon, Miho Hatori, Richard Hell, Clipping, Ryan Heffington, Limpopo, Jeff Ziegler, Paola Prestini, Thundercat, Bora Yoon, Kid Congo Powers, Kamau Daaood and many others. In 2019, he collaborated with Ren Klyce, Dangermouse and Karen O on Lux Prima: the Encounter. Carrillo is currently a proud member of the faculty at Los Angeles County High School of the Arts. He is proud to make this his first CalStateLA Production season!

Mia Zell (Stage Manager) is a senior, majoring in Theatre, with an emphasis in production. She dabbles in both the technical and performance world of theatre, as she began her journey with stage management during Cal State La's production of Something Rotten, directed by Meredith Greenburg. Her credits include: Celebramos ( Cal State La ),  Mojada ( Cal State LA ), John Lion's New Play Festival ( Cal State LA ). Mia would like to thank her friends and mentors for supporting her throughout the production process.

Alex Esparza

Alex Esparza (Prop Artisan) is at Cal State LA majoring in Theater with a focus on Design and Production. His love for theater during his high school years sparked his interest in mastering the arts in scenic/props. He is always eager to learn and face any challenge that comes along the way. His goal is to pursue his career in technical theater to become a respected prop master working for theater and TV/film. Credit includes Heisenberg (Skylight Theater), My Brother’s Keeper (Boston Court), The SpongeBob Musical (East Los Angeles College) , The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (East Los Angeles College). Cindy Campos

Cindy Campos (props artisan) is currently a senior at Cal State LA, working towards her B.A. in Theatre with an option in Design and Production. She is a student worker for the department doing carpentry and scenic painting and serves as the current Props Coordinator. Her past jobs include working as Prop Designer for Boston Court Pasadena: Measure, Still For Measure, The Body's Mission Night, and A Going Away Party. Cindy is a proud alum and graduate of East Los Angeles College Theater Arts program, having won a Meritorious Award for Heart of the Art from KCACTF for her Prop Master work on The Skin of Our Teeth
