Internship Opportunity at NASA
The Department of Physics & Astronomy at Cal State LA is thrilled to announce the opening of a prestigious 10-week paid research internship program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena during the summer 2025.
This opportunity is available to current Cal State LA undergraduate or graduate students with a strong academic record and a passion for science. The internship is divided into four specialized tracks:
- Astrophysics (2 positions) – Dr. Lazzarini and Dr. Terebey
- Atmospheric Science (1 position) – Dr. Karine Le Bris
- Planetary Science (1 position) – Dr. Emilie Royer
Eligibility Requirements:
- A minimum of 3.0 GPA
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residentship.
Program Participation
Throughout the academic year preceding their internship, selected applicants will need to
- attend a series of mandatory workshops.
- perform background preliminary research under the supervision of a participating faculty member.
