Description
ARCHIVES OF ERASURE & EMERGENCE
PUBLIC DISCUSSION & DIALOGUE
This gallery exhibits objects and art contributed by undocumented Cal State LA students and community members.
Highlighting the intimate and the individual, the gallery refuses any reduction of undocumented immigrant experience to a set of statistics, fearmongering bombast, or one-dimensional narratives that pit “model minority” Dreamers against criminalized parents.
The opening reception includes student speakers as well as guest scholars Claudia Anguiano (Human Communications, Cal State Fullerton) and Lourdes Najera (Anthropology, Drake University).
Refreshments will be provided.
