Courses for Causes: Teaching Dual Enrollment Students

CSU Los Angeles College of Professional and Global Education, in partnership with the Charter College of Education, is offering a free online course to our heroic first responders and community members, affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. It is our way of saying thank you for everyone's efforts in making our communities safe and healthy again.  Although this course is targeted for community college teachers, all community members with an interest in the teaching methodologies for high school students are invited to participate.

Program Description

Enhance your ability to teach learners in the high school dual enrollment setting.  Participants will learn how to apply effecive practices for college courses in a high school setting, while also learning dual enrollment legislation, requirements, and guidelines.

Program Objectives

  • Learn how to apply effective practices for college courses in a high school setting
  • Gain knowledge of dual enrollment legislation, requirements, and guidelines

Program Offers

  • 2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
  • Certificate of Completion upon completion of the course

Course Dates

  • July 6 - September 11, 2020 (fully online)

***Interested participants must register for the course before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020. Please add only one seat to your cart.  Multiple registrations are not permitted, as access to the Canvas account has to be tied to the registrant's name.  If all seats are reserved, please email pageprograms@calstatela.edu.
