Biomanufacturing Technician Certificate Program

Biomanufacturing technicians clean and sanitize equipment in medical and industrial settings such as the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and other materials. They utilize their knowledge of standard practices and operating procedures as well as critical thinking, good communication, and teamwork.
To address the need for biomanufacturing technicians in Southern California, a consortium was formed, comprised of three California State University campuses (Fullerton, Los Angeles, and Long Beach) and the industry association BIOCOM Institute, which represents over 1,500 companies in California. This consortium created the Biomanufacturing Technician Certificate Program in response to the industry’s need for workers in the regional labor market.
The Biomanufacturing Technician Certificate Program is scheduled to begin in January 2023..
