Reopening

Cal State LA and the University Library continue to carefully plan for a strategic return to campus with your health and safety in mind. Recent updates from Los Angeles County public health officials have resulted in changes to protocols on our campus. Library guidelines include but are not limited to:

  • Face coverings are required when indoors
  • No food or drink permitted inside the library except for water in a resealable bottle.
  • Face coverings are recommended outdoors for unvaccinated individuals if less than 6 feet from others.
  • Self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms is still required. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, have had contact with a known COVID-19 case in the last 10 days or are currently under isolation or quarantine orders, please stay home.
  • Various study areas, seats, bathrooms, offices, departments, floors, etc. may be closed or have reduced capacity.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for public use.

Library building access will be granted by presenting a Golden Eagle One Card. If members of the Cal State LA community need to obtain/replace their One Cards, please contact the GEOC office and schedule an appointment (Tuesdays or Thursdays only) to do so. There may be a small fee to replace a One Card.

Cal State LA has created a new Return to Campus website. On the website you’ll find important dates, details about planning for the fall, frequently asked questions and more.

Additionally, the Health Watch website will continue to provide information about vaccinations, COVID-19 testing, campus messages and other information.
