COVID-19 Prevention. Housing is offering free COVID-19 tests to residents. Cal State LA Division of Student Life Housing and Residence Life.

In collaboration with the Student Health Center, see below for our recommendations to keep safe as COVID-19 cases rise.

Staying Safe

COVID-19 cases have risen in the last few months and have increased even more in the last few weeks. If you plan to attend events with large crowds in public, we recommend that you do the following to help lessen the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19, the flu, or other airborne illnesses:

  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Wear masks. If you need masks, stop by the Housing Offices in South Village and Phase II.
  • Limit exposure to sick and exposed people.
  • Wash your hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use gloves.
  • Avoid close contact with people.
  • Limit activities involving large crowds.

It’s important to be aware of symptoms and take action to not spread it to others or be exposed. If you have symptoms, please consider taking a COVID-19 test.

COVID-19 Test Kits

Housing and Residence Life has COVID-19 Antigen Test Kits, and they are now available in the Phase II and South Village Housing Main Offices for residents who meet the following criteria while supplies last:

  • Students who do not have health insurance.
  • Students who have limited access to health care resources.

What to do if you Test Positive

If you have tested and find yourself to be COVID-positive, please follow these steps:
