Professional Identity in Nursing Symposium
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Nelda Godfrey
Dr. Nelda Godfrey is Professor and Associate Dean for Innovative Partnerships and Practice at the University of Kansas School of Nursing, Kansas City, KS.
Her work with the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing is transforming the way nurses, health care professionals, and society understand what it means to "think, act, and feel like a nurse."
As the result of this integrative review 1 initiated through the Academy of Evidence-Based Practice, Kaiser Permanente, founded by Dr. Cecelia Crawford, a presentation was developed, the keynote for this symposium at the LA Zoo in May 2023.
Variations of this presentation have been given to many senior nursing students across So CA, including seniors at the Patricia A. Chin School of Nursing. Other related presentations have been presented to selected University and College nursing program leaders and healthcare personnel at national conferences.
