Whether you're a veteran, active-duty service member, reservist, or National Guard member, we're here to help you take the next step toward earning your degree at Cal State LA.

Your admission requirements depend on your educational background. Choose the applicant type below that best describes you.

 

What type of applicant are you?

First-Time Freshman

Still in high school or recently graduated and haven't taken college courses past the summer after graduation.

Transfer

You've taken college classes after high school but haven't yet earned a bachelor's degree.

Graduate/Post-Bacc

You already have a bachelor's degree and are applying to a graduate, credential, certificate, or second bachelor's program.

After You Apply

If you've served in the U.S. military, please submit:

  • DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), if applicable
  • Military transcripts, such as Joint Services Transcript (JST) or Community College of the Air Force transcript

Eligible military veterans applying to undergraduate programs receive Local Preference, regardless of their school of origin.

Military education and training may be evaluated for transferable college credit.
