Parking Permit Refund Request

This is a request for a refund only. The submittal of this request does not guarantee a refund will be issued. This request will be carefully reviewed and may require further research before this request can be approved. Applicants will be notified by email within 10 business days regarding the status of this request. If approved, refunds may take 1-2 weeks to process, checks will be made to the person assigned the permit or to the third-party if paid via a third-party agreement with Parking Services. Payment will be sent to the address registered on campus; if your current address is different than the address registered with campus, please input correct address on this form. If you have not been contacted within 10 business days, please contact (323) 343-6118.

Parking Permit Refund Policy
Refunds or exchanges are available for semester parking permits only. Once a refund is approved the permit will be deactivated. Requests received before the first day of classes or due to class cancellation (proof of cancellation required) will receive a 100% refund. Requests received on the first day of classes or later will receive a partial refund/credit for exchange based on the corresponding proration schedule. Please visit www.calstatela.edu/parking/2021-2022-refund-schedule for refund schedules. Exchanges can only be done within the term purchased. Exchanges for a more expensive permit should be done in person at the Transportation Services Center and require the difference paid prior to activating new permit. No credit can be applied toward future terms or semesters. Past semester permit are not valid for refunds. There are no refunds for 30 day, daily permits, or intersession permits. Permits cannot be exchange for a permit for a different duration or expiration date. Balances created by an exchange need to be paid within 7 days. Exchanges that create an overpayment require the completion of this refund request form. No credit can be applied toward future terms or semesters. Past semester permits are not valid for refunds.
