The Circle Drive Road Replacement Project is scheduled to begin on Dec. 15, 2025, and continue through May 15, 2026. This project will address existing safety hazards and deteriorating pavement along Circle Drive. The project will also be installing improved lighting and sidewalks in the area. During construction, all vehicular traffic will be restricted from entering campus via Campus Road and Circle Drive. Please use Paseo Rancho Castilla as an alternate access route.
Service Relocations and Access Changes
To maintain safe and efficient transit operations, the following adjustments will be in effect:
No personal vehicles will be permitted on Circle Drive from Campus Road to south of the Hydrogen Station, for the duration of the project.
Pedestrians traveling to and from the train or Metro freeway stop should follow posted directional signage for safe access through the area.
Relocated to the west side of C-Level in Structure B, including all rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc.).
All buses normally using the Transit Center will be staged on Circle Drive across from the Alliance Marc & Eva Stern Math and Science School or relocated off-site along State University Drive.
Enter Hillside Drive north of Parking Structure A for pick-up and drop-off. Hillside Dr. can be accessed from Paseo Rancho Castilla.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT PHASES
The project will be completed in multiple phases to minimize disruption to campus transit systems. Please observe all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.

- Vehicles enter at Campus Road but continue straight to Paseo Rancho Castilla and use Hillside Drive to access MASS.
- Vehicles may exit at Circle Drive to access Campus Road.
- No vehicle entry to Circle Drive during this construction project.
PHASE 2: JANUARY 17 TO FEBRUARY 20
PHASE 3 and 4: FEBRUARY 21 TO MAY 15
FEBRUARY 21 TO MAY 15
- Vehicles enter at Campus Road but continue straight to Paseo Rancho Castilla and use Hillside Drive to access MASS.
- Vehicles turn in/out from Lot 2 and exit back on Hillside Drive. No access to the east side of MASS.
- No vehicle entry/exit to Circle Drive during the duration of this project.
- Buses/Shuttles will be able to enter the Transit Center and provide normal service.
