Train to Teach Application

The College of Natural and Social Sciences invites graduate students to apply for its inaugural “Train to Teach” Learning Community in Spring 2020.  The focus of this Learning Community, the inaugural professional development for NSS graduate students, will be centered on teaching at the college level.  The Learning Community will bring together an interdisciplinary group of graduate students to discuss teaching/learning experiences and practices in a supportive setting.  Participants will explore their own teaching career interests and learn about teaching innovations & best practices and deepen their understanding of pedagogy. Participants will actively participate in exercises of self-analysis, shared discovery and learning, critical reflection and teaching inquiry and engage in discussions, practices, and peer review in their journey into becoming effective teachers and leaders within their discipline.

Interested graduate students should complete the application by December 13, 2019.
