MS in Geological Sciences

Five students wearing backpacks and hats walk through a rocky desert landscape with layered sedimentary cliffs in the background. The terrain is arid, with light-colored soil and sparse vegetation under a clear blue sky
MS in Geological Sciences

The M.S. in Geoloical Sciences program offers students a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of geology. Students have the flexibility to choose between two focused areas of study:

  • Geology Option: This track is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in traditional geology, including engineering geology.
  • Environmental Hydrogeology Option: This specialization prepares students for roles in hydrogeology and environmental geochemistry, focusing on the study of water and geochemical processes in environmental contexts.

Road Map

The program allows students to tailor their academic journey by selecting either a thesis-based or comprehensive exam-based completion pathway, ensuring they can pursue their specific academic and professional goals.
