Enrolling in Sociology Classes

Enrolling in Sociology Classes in Spring 2022

Enrolling in courses in Spring 2022 may be a little confusing because there are five formats from which to choose. Some classes meet at a specific day/time (either in person or via Zoom) while others never meet.

FIVE CLASS FORMATS

Format #1 Traditional: AFTER February 11, 2022, class meets at a specific day/time in a room on campus.

Format #2 Remote (also called Synchronous Online): Class meets at a specific day/time remotely via Zoom.

Format #3 Fully Online: Class does NOT meet, rather students complete course requirements in Canvas on a schedule “to be announced” (TBA).

Format #4 Hybrid—Combination of Traditional and Online: AFTER February 11, 2022, about half of the time, the class meets at a specific day/time in a room on campus, and the rest of the time, students complete course requirements in Canvas on a schedule “to be announced” (TBA).

Format #5 Hybrid—Combination of Remote and Online: About half the time, the class meets at a specific day/time remotely via Zoom, and the rest of the time, students complete course requirements in Canvas on a schedule “to be announced” (TBA).

You can determine the class format by looking at how the course appears in GET:
