Workshops are periodically held to provide training and information about the topics related to the Cal State LA IRB process and submission system. The following provides a brief description of the workshops that are offered:*
IRB Process – Investigators will receive an overview of how IRB applications are processed at Cal State LA, including the types of applications and project examples to help investigators categorize their research under the Revised Common Rule.
IRBNet – Investigators will learn how to navigate our IRB application submission system, IRBNet.org, including tips and tricks for working with the website, Smart Forms “Wizard”, and where to find resources for troubleshooting.
IRB Office Hours – Similar to faculty office hours, investigators are invited to ask questions of IRB staff without a prior appointment. Bring a question–or several–and an IRB staff member will do their best to assist you.
Workshops will be held on Zoom for the foreseeable future and participants must register with a Cal State LA email address. Zoom meeting details will be emailed to registered participants one hour before the meeting.
For Office Hours, please check this website on the scheduled day and time for Zoom meeting information.
If any questions or concerns arise, contact LaTreshia Scott, Research Affairs Analyst.
*All upcoming workshop dates and times are subject to change due to factors such as attendance, room availability, etc.
