Join fellow residents, students and the The Gender & Sexuality Resource Center, as we "take back the night" against sexual- and domestic-violence. Wear jeans as it's annual Denim Day as well.

The U.S. recognizes April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Gender & Sexuality Resource Center is hosting its annual Take Back the Night, which explores sexual assault and sexual violence. The evening includes: arts and crafts, live performances, a space to share testimonies, and concludes with an empowering solidarity march to Take Back the Night! The first 100 participants will receive a DIY tote bag filled with several resources. #TBTN #VictoryOverViolence

Performances include The Cal State LA Choir, performing the a cappella song I Can’t Be Quiet,” a song that speaks out against sexual assault and has been coined the “Women’s March Anthem.”, as well as spoken word artists, speakers, and the Xicana music collective In Lak Ech. There will also be various booths with campus and community partners, including self-care packages from Mujeres de Maiz.
