NOTE: Students who attend CAPS workshops, groups, or individual or couples counseling are engaging in clinical services. To protect our clients' privacy and the integrity of our groups and workshops, CAPS does not provide documentation of attendance to be used for extra credit or as an assignment for classes or organizations.

Coping with Grief
This drop-in grief group is designed to support those who are grieving the death of a loved one. Drop-in groups provide a safe, supportive space for participants to share feelings and memories. This group does not require a commitment to attend every session. Participants can attend as they are able. Entry to Zoom will close at 4:40 p.m.

Imposter Syndrome
Imposter Syndrome is the overwhelming feeling of not deserving one's personal success. This drop-in group was developed to provide a safe space to discuss personal struggles while gaining insight and knowledge on decreasing these feelings. This group does not require a commitment to attend every session. Participants can attend as needed. Register in advance.

LGBTQIA+ Support Group
Offering safe space to explore sexuality/gender identity, coming out, or those seeking community. Co-facilitated by two queer-identified, licensed social workers, Rosie Arvizu, LCSW and Daniel Benitez, LCSW.

Navigating Life Using Mindfulness Practice
This is a seven-week course that teaches us how to deal with life events with grace and composure. It is a mix of education, guided activities, and conversation. Each week introduces a new topic and builds from the previous meeting. It is encouraged to attend the entire 7-week course for maximum benefits; however, each week has something to offer. Entry to Zoom will close at 4:40 p.m.

2/24 – Attention and the brain: practice sitting meditation
3/10 – Dealing with thoughts: using movement to cope
3/24 – Responding vs. reacting: STOP, the 1-minute breathing space

Let's Talk
Let’s Talk is a 30 minute to an hour drop-in opportunity to speak with a clinician from Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). These drop in sessions are outreaches that focus on skill-building, resiliency skills, and problem solving. Let’s Talk sessions are for small group or individual conversations. All Let’s Talk facilitators are CAPS Counselors.
