Congratulations to Dr. Sara Pugach (Department of History) for being named a 2023 Faculty Development Seminar Awardee by the Council for American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC).

A private nonprofit federation founded in 1981, the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) supports advanced research, primarily in the humanities and social sciences, with a focus on the preservation and recording of cultural heritage as well as understanding and interpreting modern societies.

Dr. Pugach is one of 42 seminar awardees selected from community colleges and minority-serving institutions who will attend Faculty Development Seminar programs in 2023. The two-week overseas seminars are designed to help faculty gain international experience, enabling them to develop and improve international courses and teaching materials in their own institutions. The seminar awardees will receive round-trip travel, hotel accommodation, and meals for the two-week workshop.
