Angela Young

Angela Young is currently the Assciate Dean of  the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles.  The department serves over 1000 graduate and undergraduate students through the work of over 35 full-time faculty and lecturers.  Programs coordinated in the department include Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management and Healthcare Management. The department is home to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Asian Pacific Business Institute. Five student organizations within the department link students to the business community and support student learning and success.

Since joining Cal State L.A., Angela has worked as Co-editor for the Journal of International and Interdisciplinary Business Research, Editor for the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management, Acting Director of the Pepsi-Co/FritoLay Leadership Center, and Interim Editor of the Business Forum.  She has published numerous articles related to many aspects of management in the Journal of Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Managerial Issues and others.  Angela has presented her research at academic conferences including National Academy of Management, Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and many others.

Prior to earning her Ph.D., she worked in corporate information systems management for several years before starting and operating a successful business venture specializing in computer support, application development and training.  The business served both corporate and small business customers.

Angela received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Florida State University, an MBA from California State University at Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration specializing in information technology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
