Faculty and Staff Metrolink

Don't Pollute! Change the Way You Commute

The Commuter Services Office is committed to providing faculty, staff, and students with an extensive Rideshare Program. The Rideshare Program promotes alternative modes of transportation to campus with the goal of reducing the number of single rider cars on the road, thereby easing traffic and reducing environmental pollution.

Faculty and Staff Metrolink Program

Cal State LA is the only university in Southern California to have its own Metrolink Station, which is served by Metrolink's San Bernardino line.  The Cal State LA Metrolink Station is located at our Transit Center at the south end of the campus below the Metro busway.

The San Bernardino line has station stops in San Bernardino, Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Montclair, Claremont, Pomona North, Covina, Baldwin Park, and El Monte.  All other Metrolink stops can connect to Cal State LA from a transfer at Union Station.

Cal State LA Commuter Services will provide a monthly rail subsidy to eligible university employees, full-time or part-time arriving to campus before 11:00 am and use Metrolink as an alternate mode of transportation to the University at least four (4) or more days per week.  Metrolink commuters can also participate in quarterly drawings and commuter events.

Eligible employees can receive up to a 30% subsidy* (not to exceed the $100.00 maximum monthly subsidy) for employees who do not own a parking permit; such employees may obtain up to four (4) parking permits per month from calstatela.aimsparking.com.

Monthly subsidized passes are available from the 1st through the 20th of the month.

You may sign up for Payroll Deduction and have the payment for your pass taken out of your check directly.  Participants must pay once a month in advance once they have completed the Employee Public Rail Subsidy form.

To see if you're eligible complete our Employee Public Rail Subsidy Application.
