Volunteers and Judges
Moderators and Timekeepers for Oral Presentations
Each year we look for students to act as Oral Sessions Moderators/Timekeepers for the Student Symposium, which will be held this year on Friday, March 3, 2023. If you are not presenting--in Oral or Posters--we encourage you to volunteer as a Moderator or a Timekeeper from approximately 8 am to 1 pm (depending on the discipline). If interested, please email [email protected].
Faculty Judges
Faculty members from all disciplines are encouraged to volunteer as judges for the yearly Student Symposium on Research, Scholarship & Creative Activities. Due to the wide range of topics covered by students in their presentations, judges from various departments are essential. If you wish to participate as a judge, please complete the Volunteer Judge Form. You will be contacted with further details.
- Oral Judges will be asked to review oral presentation abstracts before the symposium and be available in-person from 8:00am - 12:00pm (noon) for sessions and judging process.
- Poster Judges will be asked to attend the Poster session between 11:00am - 1:00pm in the Golden Eagle Ballrooms. After judging the assigned posters, they will meet with their fellow judges to discuss scoring and select an overall winner.
