About the Mobility Center
Mission
The Mobility Center is a service-learning-based therapeutic exercise program located on the campus of Cal State LA. Our students gain real-world, hands-on experience working with clients from our East Los Angeles community and beyond. Our goal is to educate the next generation of rehabilitation professionals and provide low-cost exercise programs to people who lack access to traditional rehabilitation services.

FAQ
How can I become a client?
An initial evaluation will be performed by the staff. Clients are also required to obtain medical clearance before starting. Staff will then develop an exercise program that is tailored to the client. We encourage clients to schedule regularly bi-weekly exercise sessions for the academic term.
How much does it cost to be a client?
Typically, a single therapeutic exercise is $12/session while a single locomotor training session is $65/session. Discounted rates for both services can be arranged on an individual basis.
When is the Mobility Center open?
Client sessions run Monday through Thursday mornings and afternoons. The program runs in synch with the Cal State LA academic calendar. This means that we close our doors during finals week, winter/spring/summer break, and to observe government holidays. We may offer group exercise programming for special populations during winter and summer breaks. Please contact us for more information. Please see the current Cal State LA academic calendar to see when the campus is open.
