Spring 2026 Enrichment Activities

Our Enrichment Activities, online and in person, cover a range of topics to help you maximize your experience at Cal State LA. EOP first-time freshman students must attend a minimum of three Enrichment Workshops per semester. EOP first-time transfer students must attend a minimum of one Enrichment Workshop per semester. If you are experiencing academic challenges, please contact your EOP counselor.

If you attend a non-EOP workshop or activity(university workshop/event), let us know by filling out the Enrichment Activity Attendance Form.

 

February

2/10 – Effective Time Management Practices for College Students 

3 – 4:00 p.m.

This workshop will enhance academic support with effective time management skills. Provide
holistic student development by promoting balance between academics, work, and personal life.
Students will learn how to prioritize tasks, set achievable goals, and stay organized 

2/18 – Lunch and Learn 

12 – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Student Services Building 4th floor EOP office

"Ted Talk" like atmosphere that will provide a safe space for students to share, ask questions, learn more about and be encouraged to utilize vital campus resources for personal and academic development. Student will be allowed to share and reflect on first-year transition and experiences. 


2/27 – What Does This Mean?  What Should I Do? Understanding University Policies and How to Best Apply Them When Needed.

This workshop introduces students to Cal State LA's academic policies and shows them how to apply them when needed.  Students will learn the withdrawal process, grade forgiveness, repeat limit exception, return from an educational leave (formerly known as leave of absence), financial aid standards (with the new changes), and other policies that may be useful for their academic success.  At the end of the presentation, different case scenarios will be shared to show how these policies may impact a student's academic success.

3/12 – EOP Scholarship Planning 

3 – 4:00 p.m.

Students will learn about scholarship opportunities, dates and deadlines. Students will have the opportunity to learn, plan, execute a search for scholarships, apply, and gain helpful writing tips for their personal statement.

4/9 – I Submitted my FAFSA/CADAA Application, what's next?

Will review with students the following steps after submitting their FAFSA/CADAA Applications. Student will be shown how to review their to-do list in GET. Also, how to submit their documents on the forms system and the correct documents.
