As a Cal State LA student, were you unable to schedule a Food Pantry appointment? Eddie Eats has you covered!

On a first come first serve basis, this program is intended to serve students experiencing food insecurity who needed to access the Food Pantry but were not able to secure an appointment in any given hour/day that we are open that week or are not on campus during our current hours of operation.

Students receive a deposit of $50 on their One Card to purchase meals at on campus food vendors.

We review application every week by 10:30 am on Thursday. If your application was submitted after this time, we will not be able to consider your application. If you are approved for funds, we will email you to confirm that a deposit was made to your One Card by Friday.

Students must meet specific requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled (both undergraduate and graduate)
  • Experiencing food insecurity
  • Must have a Golden Eagle One Card
  • Must not have an on-campus meal plan that gives you access to unlimited meals.

Students can only receive up to $150 per semester, which means students can apply up to three times.

Please note that should you wish to claim this award, the Office of the Dean of Students is required to provide your name and the value of the award(s) you've claimed as a form of estimated financial assistance to the Financial Aid Office, which may impact your overall financial aid package. Accepting this award indicates your acknowledgment of this reporting requirement and its potential impact on your financial aid package.
