Dean of Students staff assisting students remotely

The Office of the Dean of Students is continuing to take measures to maintain the health of our University community. Consistent with the California Department of Public Health recommendations, our staff is working largely on a remote basis.

Laptop and Hotspot Loan Program

We have a limited number of laptops and mobile hotspots for loan to students who have a need for this technology in order to be successful in their remote learning and classwork.

Healthy minds, bodies and brains. The Office of the Dean of Students provides the following resources and referrals to support students' health and well-being.

CARE Team Referral

Are you concerned about a Cal State LA student? The CARE Team is a campus resource for students, faculty and staff who have concerns about disruptive, problematic students, or issues concerning student behavior. The team responds to non-emergency concerns and uses a proactive approach to discuss potential problems, intervene early, and develop appropriate courses of action for referred students. The goal is to support students who may be in distress or whose behavior is of concern to others BEFORE they rise to crisis levels.

Student Conduct

The Assistant Dean for Student Conduct is responsible for investigating reports of violations of the Standards for Student Conduct, as well as administering the CSU Student Conduct Procedures and the University Student Grievance Procedures. We aim to strike a balance in addressing academic, and other misconduct, in a fair and educational manner while fostering an environment in which all members of the campus community feel safe and valued.
