Success Steps for Interviewing Process August 1 through 5.

Interviewing isn’t a stressful situation when you know what to expect. In this 5-step program for college students and recent grads, you will practice how to answer the four common interview question types and increase your interview confidence.

Step One: What is interviewing really all about?  

Monday, August 1 
1 – 2:30 p.m. 

Why do employers ask the questions they do in an interview? What do they expect? We’ll share an insider view to help you increase your confidence.  


Step Two: “Tell me about yourself”  

Tuesday, August 2 
1 – 2:30 p.m.  

“Tell me about yourself” is a question often asked in interviews. Learn how to use the M.S.R. method to answer general interview questions like these with confidence.  


Step Three: “What would you do if…?”  

Wednesday, August 3 
1 – 2:30 p.m.  

“What would you do if an angry customer confronted you? How would you resolve their concern?” Learn how to use the A.R.C answering method to showcase your problem-solving skills. 


Step Four: “Tell me about a time when…”  

Thursday, August 4 
1 – 2:30 p.m.  

Did you know that 73% of interviews contain behavioral questions? Employers want examples of when you have demonstrated critical thinking skills. Excel by using the S.T.A.R. method.  


Step Five: “Do you have any questions for us?” 

Friday, August 5 
1 – 2:30 p.m.  

When you hear this question, the interview is not over. Employers expect you to ask questions and some questions are not allowed. We’ll share how to answer this question so you stand out at the end of the interview.
