The College of Business and Economics (CBE) recognizes the importance of starting the year right. That’s why they started the week with an event to welcome back all the staff and faculty. Colleagues enjoyed lunch and chatted about their summer. During the meeting, Interim Provost Jose A. Gomez, Ph.D., spoke to staff and faculty and talked about Cal State LA’s promising future. Following the Interim Provost, Dean Tye Jackson introduced this year’s theme, “Building Our Momentum.” He continued by mentioning encouraging progress and accomplishments that delighted attendees. Dean Jackson then passed it over to the department chairs to introduce everyone to the new faculty in CBE. To finish off the meeting, attendees heard from faculty and staff leaders on what to expect this upcoming year and how to build their momentum from last year's success.
