We are pleased to announce that Healthcare Management students, Antonio Becerra and Ma Ledi Ham Loot, were selected to receive an Alumni Scholarship. Each student will receive $1,000 from the scholarship that is managed through the Alumni Relations Office.

While this opportunity is open to all students, there is certain criterion established by the Alumni Scholarship Committee that students must meet. For instance, students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA to qualify. The Committee then awards scholarships to students based on merit and financial need. The process consists of two tiers: 1) Written application portion, and 2) Semi-finalist virtual interviews with members of the Scholarship Committee. Additionally, Undergraduate Student Alumni Scholarships were awarded to our students who demonstrated leadership involvement on campus and/or in the community. Graduate Student Alumni Scholarships were awarded to our students who demonstrated leadership and achievement in their academic department, college, professional career, and/or community.

With 188 students who qualified for the Alumni Association Scholarship based on GPA alone, it goes without saying that this year’s scholarship pool was highly competitive. 40 students made it to the semi-finals, with the Scholarship Committee ultimately awarding scholarships to 25 students – two of whom are from the CBE.

On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff in the CBE, we’d like to wish a congratulations to all the recipients! You earned it!
