Jay Joshi

Born and raised in India, Jay Joshi came to the US in 2019 in pursuit of higher education. He joined the CBE to obtain his Master’s in Information Systems and has been trailblazing ever since. Joshi is not only the President of the International Students Organization and a Civic Engagement Officer but he is also an active member of ASI Inc’s Board of Directors. He will be joining Tesla Motors as an Information Security Intern in this fall 2020. He was also awarded the International Tuition Fees Waiver Scholarship for Academic Year 2020-2021 at the CBE.

Jay is a highly optimistic, hardworking student with an entrepreneurial mindset. “Optimism is not just mentality; it is etiquette,” Jay tells us. This inspiration derives from his family. His father is both a Dean and a Professor of Physics in India. Jay's mother is a Professor of Biotechnology and his older brother, his support system, is a Track Protection Expert in Canada.

Jay has proficient academic knowledge and expertise in neoteric tools and technology with a 3.93 GPA standing. He is a Microsoft-certified Azure Administrator Associate and an IBM-certified Data Science Professional. Expressing gratitude towards CBE, Jay explains, “The courses offered here are updated and aligns with industrial requirements. Particularly the courses like Information Systems and Information Systems Project & Change Management helped me to grow and develop the required skills to become an intern at Tesla Motors.”

He goes onto cite Professor Arun as his biggest influence at the CBE. “He is a true motivator for any student. He teaches great fundamentals of both technology and life in the most effective way. He is always, and I mean it, he is ALWAYS ready to do anything that is beneficial for his student’s academic and career success.”

After graduation, Jay hopes to have hands-on experience at Tesla Motors and retire as a Professor as he loves to interact with young potential minds. Outside of school, Jay enjoys long drives, bowling, and volunteering at Hindu temple.
