The CBE’s Dr. Santor Nishizaki, Marketing professor and Professional Fundamentals Program Director, was recently featured in a Wall Street Journal article discussing Gen Z and the future of remote work. With a growing number of Gen Z recently graduating during the pandemic, more and more have yet to work from an office - and more and more are seemingly content with that arrangement.

Among Gen Zers surveyed in the fall of 2020, several months into the Covid-19 pandemic, 69% said they would like to work remotely at least half the time, according to Dr. Nishizaki and Professor James DellaNeve, Dr. Nishizaki, who are currently writing a book about Gen Z and the future workforce.

In the article, Dr. Nishizaki goes onto stress the importance of companies and their management teams to support their employees' mental health at work and the need for managers to facilitate frequent check-ins with their teams.
