Computer Information Systems (CIS) graduate student Dalyapraz Dauletbak received an Outstanding Paper Award at The 14th Asia Pacific International Conference on Information Science and Technology (APIC-IST 2019). The Conference was held on June 23 - 26, 2019 in Beijing, China. The APIC-IST 2019 brought together emerging issues on computing environments, web applications, and new supporting technologies to be shared by a diverse group of industry professionals and academic researchers.
Dalyapraz’s research paper is focused on traffic analysis in Los Angeles County using big data. Dalyapraz was mentored by CIS professor Dr. Jongwook Woo. The paper is also published in the conference proceedings and is shortlisted for the opportunity to be published in a special issue of the international journal titled KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems.
