Best Mentored Case Award

Best Mentored Case Award

Ellen Drost and her student Ezra Pugh were awarded the Best Mentored Case award, which recognizes the best case written by a student author(s) with the guidance of a faculty mentor at the 2019 Western Casewriters Association Conference (WCA) on March 7, 2019. Their case, on Los Angeles Apparel was recognized by reviewers as an extremely effective and engaging case for use in the classroom. Congratulations to Dr. Drost!

The WCA Conference is held yearly and is a unique opportunity to engage with other case writers in a small group format to exchange feedback and polish a case, learn about using cases in the classroom, get a peer-reviewed conference and proceedings on a vita, and enjoy presentations from leading case researchers and case educators. The WCA strongly believes in creating a supportive environment that encourages people to start, develop and write interesting business cases. They believe in a mentoring culture where the more experienced members share their insights and ideas with new case writers to continue the development of their field.
