The Fast Pitch competition is a contest for all students at Cal State L.A. to participate and pitch one idea with the hopes of winning prize money to help launch their product or business. Students pitch their idea for two minutes in front of a panel of judges that consist of local investors and small business owners. Other universities have similar competitions but what makes Cal State L.A.’s Competition unique is how quick the pitch is. For example, other competitions allow students to have powerpoint presentations along with their pitch, but Fast Pitch is about how well a pitch can be expressed in a short amount of time.
