Assessment at Cal State LA is supported by faculty, staff, administrators, and campus groups that help coordinate and strengthen assessment practices across the University. This section provides information about assessment leadership, College Assessment Coordinators, and groups such as the Educational Effectiveness and Assessment Council.
College Assessment Coordinators support assessment activities within their respective colleges and serve as resources for faculty and academic programs. The historical coordinator rosters below are retained for institutional reference.

The Educational Effectiveness and Assessment Council (EEAC) supported institutional planning and coordination related to student learning outcomes assessment, teaching and learning effectiveness, and Cal State LA’s development as a learning organization. The Council served as an administrative advisory body supporting educational effectiveness across the University.
Council Responsibilities
The EEAC historically supported the University by:
- Advising University leadership and the campus community on the development of a systematic, long-term assessment program and its alignment with institutional priorities.
- Monitoring indicators of educational effectiveness, prior accreditation recommendations, and achievement of program learning outcomes.
- Promoting engagement with assessment and educational effectiveness data through workshops, campus discussions, and related activities.
- Supporting a culture of evidence and the assessment of student learning at the departmental, program, and institutional levels.
