OPPORTUNITIES

The Alumni Association Board of Directors consists of volunteers who develop central policy and procedures for the Alumni Association. As a board member, you'll strengthen connections between alumni, students, and the university and support alumni engagement and student success.

The 2025-2027 Alumni Board of Directors application process has closed. The next application cycle will open in May 2026.

Scholarship Committee

Join the Scholarship Committee and help select the next generation of Golden Eagle scholars! As a committee member, you'll direct the selection process, review applications, interview semi-finalists, and select awardees.

The committee meets four times between April and June, and all reviews are conducted online at your convenience.

Finance Review Committee

The Finance Review Committee is responsible for general oversight and review of the Alumni Association's finances, funds, expenditures, revenue, taxes, and investments.

The Cal State LA Alumni Mentoring Program is transitioning to a new and improved platform that will make it even easier for alumni and students to connect, engage, and soar together. We can’t wait to introduce you to the new platform and continue building connections that empower Golden Eagles past, present, and future.

About the Program

The Alumni Association is proud to provide the Cal State LA Alumni Mentoring Program, which officially launched in 2009.  The mission of the Alumni Mentoring Program is to empower the Cal State LA community through mentorship between alumni and students. The program offers two different components of mentoring that can work with any schedule or level of commitment.

Support Cal State LA students by donating gently used and in-style professional clothing to the Career Clothing Closet, a program that provides interview and career-ready attire to students facing financial hardship.

Overseen by the Cal State LA Career Center, this initiative helps students feel confident and prepared as they take their next steps toward career success.
