Cal State LA is thrilled to welcome Olympic champion Allyson Felix to campus for a special screening of her documentary, She Runs the World, and a conversation on leadership, resilience, and changing the landscape of women's sports.
Allyson is the most decorated U.S. track and field athlete in Olympic history and a fierce advocate for maternal protections for women in sports. A Los Angeles native, she has strong ties to our community and to Cal State LA, where her mother and aunts earned degrees. Marlean Felix graduated in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in child development and earned a master’s degree in elementary education in 1980. Her aunts, Melvina Jones and Eleanor Williams, are also alumnae.
The Cal State LA community is invited to an event that recognizes Allyson’s legacy and celebrates her family connection to our University.
