CTC Document Number

When applying for a teaching credential on Cal State Apply, you will be required to apply for your Certificate of Clearance to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) if you have not already done so. Once the application process is complete, you can provide the CTC Document Number to expedite the processing of your application.

To find your Certificate of Clearance Document Number, do the following:

  1. Go to ctc.ca.gov.
  2. Log in to your educator account.
  3. Locate your Document Number in your Education Profile.

If you do not hold an Educator Account or Document Number, please be sure to complete the Certificate of Clearance process as detailed on the Questions tab of your Cal State Apply credential application.
